Osinbajo, Ajimobi, Alao Akala Eulogies Prophet Abiara's wife as body laid to rest in Ibadan



Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo was among the dignitaries that paid last respect as the body of the wife of the General Evangelist of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Pastor Samuel Abiara, Mrs. Christiana Aduke Abiara's body was laid to rest in Ibadan on Friday.

The Vice President who on behalf of President Muhammadu Buhari commensurated with the husband, family and the entire congregation of the church described the husband of the deceased as a popular prayer actor who advices his regularly.

Speaking on the passage of the deceased, Osinbajo said people must know that there are challenges in life saying that what the country is passing through now will soon be over. 

Osinbajo said "On behalf of the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, we commensurate with you, we pray that God Almighty will lift you and comfort you. My prayer is that you also will not fall. You will never be put to shame. God will bless your children. 

"I want to say to all of us, that there is nothing good that will not have challenges. 

"Our country is going through some pains now, but God Almighty will make our tomorrow better. 

The body of Mrs. Christiana Abiara who died on September 3rd in Ibadan at the age 70 had earlier been committed to mother earth prior to the thanksgiving. 

Others who paid glowing tributes to the cleric's wife include Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State and his wife; Florence, former Governor of the state Chief Adebayo Alao Akala and his wife Kemi; former Governor of Osun State Chief Olagunsoye Oyinlola; Deputy Governor of Osun State Mrs. Titilayo Laoye Tomori; Deputy Governor of Ogun State Mrs. Yetunde Onanuga and Minister for Finance Mrs. Kemi Adeosun. 

Wife of the General Overseer of Redeem Christian Church of God Mrs. Adeboye was also among those who graced the funeral service.  

Ajimobi described the deceased who lived 'an exemplary and fulfilled life. 

He said "Mama served humanity, she was very inspirational and fairness, she taught her children the fair of God, mama's life was impactful. 

The widower, Pastor Abiara urged Nigerians to be wary of fake prophets whose predictions will never come to past. 

He said though the loss of his wife is painful but aware that the deceased has fulfilled the purpose of her life. 

He used the occation to pray for the country to overcome the present political, socio-economic challenges confronting the country and not to listen to prophets of doom.  

"I want to implore all Nigerians not to listen to prophets of doom whose predictions shall never come to past.  I want to use this opportunity to implore Nigerians that they should keep faith that the recession will soon be over. I want to assure you that Nigeria from 2017 will be a new dawn. 

"Therefore I urged all Nigerians to put their minds at rest that the remaining of this year will be peaceful.

Earlier in his sermon, the General Suprietendent, Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Pastor S. O. Oladele charged christians on their duty which is to know and serve God. 

He said "Your duty is not to pursue education or to be rich but your duty is to know and serve the lord. There is no other duty than to know and serve the lord. 

"The lord said there is only one God, the message is not for the dead but for the living, therefore your duty is to know and serve the lord as an individual, do not postpone it, do not delay it as procrastination is dangerous. 

The cleric then implored christian faithful to be patient saying there is no one that is spared to with challenges.
