15 Bags first class as Federal University Lokoja holds first convocation

Fifteen students of Federal University Lokoja have graduated with first class in the two Faculties of Science and Art and Social Sciences during the maiden convocation that was held at the Adankolo campus Saturday.
 The maiden convocation also witnessed the installation of the Chancellor, His Royal Highness, Ahaji Muhammed Abali Ibn Idris (CON), the Emir of Fika, award of Degrees and conferment of Honorary Degrees to some prominent citizens of the country.
The Vice Chancellor of the five year old University, Prof. Angela Freeman Miri told the galaxy of who is who that graced the occasion that the promising citadel of learning was to contribute its quarter to the development of the country, hence the quest for the five billion naira endowment fund.
In all, two hundred and one students graduated during the maiden convocation ceremony that was the cynosure of passersby in Lokoja.
President Muhammed Buhari who was the Guest of Honour was represented by the Executive Secretary of National university commission (NUC) Prof. Abubakar Rasheed.
